Ronnie & Koh Consultants Pte Ltd is a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy Practice founded by Mr. Ronnie Chong Kim Beng and Mr. Koh Boon Liang in 1992. Currently, the firm has about 80 engineering and technical staff in its offices located in Singapore and Malaysia.

Er. Ronnie Chong Kim Beng has over 41 years of experience in the
planning, design and construction of major building and
infrastructure projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar
and Indonesia. He was responsible for the design and construction
of several multi-storey buildings in the region including the 45-
storey Suntec City Towers and 50-Storey MBF Headquarters, Marriot
Hotel, 40- storey Menara Budaya and 40 storey KL Trillion and the
award winning Kampung Admiralty. He has also designed many deep
basement structures, diaphragm walls and raft foundation.
Er. Chong is also an Accredited Checker (AC) for
many large building and infrastructure projects in Singapore such
as the Resort World Sentosa, 313@Somerset, 2 blocks of 43 &
46-storey office building in Marina View, MRT Tai Seng Facility
Building, Marina Coastal Expressway including the tunnel structure
below Marina Bay Crossing. He was also the AC for many Road and
MRT tunnels and stations such as the Downtown Line Cut And Cover
Tunnel between Central Circle Line (CCL) at Marina Bay, tunnels
between Promenade Station and Marina Bay, Bugis Station, Landmark
and Bayfront Stations, Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway Contract
424AC, Sentosa GatewayTunnels and many others.
His area of expertise is in analysis and design of multi-storey
buildings, deep basements, complex-shaped steel structures,
earthquake-resistant structures, Prefabricated Prefinished
Volumetric Construction (PPVC) and Mass Engineered Timber (MET)
Buildings in the region. Some of the PPVC buildings that he was
involved include the NTU Northhill Hall of Residence, Wisteria
Condominium and the Gurkha Camp Hall of Residence.
He is also one of the pioneers in Singapore to adopt and
design Mass Engineered Timber (MET) structures such as the
3-storey JTC Launchpad building, a 4-storey office building at Gul
Street, 2- level dormitories in Kranji Camp, Jurong Lake Gardens
development, school indoor sport hall roofs and the BCA Academy
Test Bed. He was also involved in the design of several MET resort
buildings for St. Regis and Ritz Carlton in the Maldives.
Mr. Er. Chong is a
Registered Professional Engineer for Civil and
Structural Works in both Singapore and Malaysia and a
Chartered Engineer of the United Kingdom.
Er. Koh Boon Liang has been in the Civil and
Structural Consultancy services and Construction for more than 39
years. He has worked on many large and successful projects in
Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Taipei and United Arab
Emirates.
Er. Koh has been involved in many rail-related projects in
Singapore and Taipei. Since the 1980’s he has been involved in
Phase 2B & Phase 2C of the Singapore MRT System. Er. Koh then
worked in Taipei and served as a Team Leader for the Elevated MRT
System from Taipei to Tamsui. He has completed more than 20 MRT
stations during that period of time.
Besides Civil & Infrastructure Project, Er. Koh has also completed
many highrise public and private projects in Singapore and the
regional areas. He was the Project Director for many large notable
projects such as Midview City, Tradehub 21, Menara Landmark,
Citigate and Sky Terrace @Dawson amongst others. He is currently
working on the Defu Industrial City for JTC.
Er. Low Chee Kong has been in the Civil and
Structural Consultancy services for more than 33 years. He has
designed and managed a wide range of building projects in
Singapore, Malaysia and other regional countries such as Vietnam,
Myanmar, Cambodia and Indonesia.
He has considerable experience in planning, design, and management
of large infrastructure works for industrial parks and housing
estates in Singapore. He has designed and managed many design and
build projects in Singapore and other regional countries for
residential, industrial and commercial projects. He has been in
charge of the power plant for Tuas Power which is a design and
build project with an American contractor, Black & Veatch
International.
Er. Low has been involved in various LTA projects such as the Team
Leader for Downtown Line Stage 2 (DTL2) C911AC for a new depot and
assisting in the checking for the AC work for the construction of
additional viaduct structures and above-ground platform station
extension to existing Jurong East MRT. He was the Qualified Person
(Supervision) for the mine tunnelling works for the Orchard
Underground Link between Orchard MRT and Tangs Plaza (ER337),
N1003 for the Enabling Works for the North South Expressway and
was the Project Director for the Qualified Person (Supervision)
Contract C919 for Stevens & Botanic Stations and the Thomson East
Coast (TEC) Line Springleaf Station (Contracts T207 & T208). He is
currently the Project Director for Supervision Contracts for the 4
in 1 Integrated Depot for the TEC Contract T301 and the Prince
Edward Station for the Circle Line 6 Contract C885 & C886. He is
currently the Qualified Person (Supervision) for the Cut & Cover
Tunnels C886 Contract for the Circle Line 6 and C1366 Supervision
Contract for the Implementation of Noise Barriers at Rail Viaduct
Phase 2.
Er. Low is a Registered Professional Engineer in
Singapore and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers,
Singapore. He has worked in both the design consultant's office
and contractor's organization as alternative design expert. Mr.
Low has been with the company since its inception in 1992 and
prior to this he has worked in Maunsell Consultants, Singapore,
where he was involved in the design for the MRT Woodlands Line and
many high-rise buildings in Malaysia.
Mr. Trimbak has almost 48 years of international
experience in Civil & Structural Engineering covering Design and
Construction of foundations and Structures in concrete and steel
for transportation, industrial, commercial and housing projects.
He has also had significant experience in specification writing
and contract negotiation and administration.
Trimbak’s special expertise is in the planning and design
large-scale industrial projects which include power station, pulp,
and paper mills and water treatment plants. In Singapore, he has
involved in Senoko Power Station Stage II and Pulau Seraya Power
Station Stage I projects.
Trimbak has been involved in the planning and design of MRT
projects since 1985 and has worked on several aboveground and
underground station designs from concept to completion.
He also carried out the design review of the CTE Phase II
Tunnels & Bridges and designed the Protection Works for Existing
Structures on the Singapore Underground Road System Project (SURS)

projects in Singapore. He was responsible for the design and
construction of several multi-storey buildings in Singapore
including the award-winning Kampung Admiralty. He has also
designed many deep basement structures, diaphragm walls, and raft
foundations.
Er. Thusiyanthan is also a Qualified Person for many building
projects in Singapore, such as the 20-storey mixed-use development
at 118 Bukit Timah Road, Institutional Building at Research Link
at the National University of Singapore, Redevelopment of
Crematorium at Kong Meng San, and many more.
His area of expertise is in analysis and design of multi-storey
buildings, deep basements, complex-shaped structures,
Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) and Mass
Engineered Timber (MET) Buildings in Singapore. Some of the PPVC

housing estates in Singapore. He has also designed and managed
design and build projects in Singapore.
Mr. Gwee is a Registered Professional Engineer and has good design
and construction experience in Singapore. He has been involved in
many buildings and rail projects since 1995. Amongst the projects
he completed are Midview City, The Splendour, Tampines 1 Shopping
Centre, Liang Court Shopping Centre, Domus Condominium, and Public
Housing at Punggol Place, Serangoon Avenue 4 and Yishun Street 11,
Sky Terrace @Dawson and City Gate.
